I originally was pretty sure that I wanted an island bed and we didn't want the 30ft because we need the cab over space for our birds. Once I was in the model, I really didn't like the narrowness of the access around the bed and at the end. It is much better in the 30ft. The 26ft IB felt very crowded in the back bedroom. For instance, it would not be all that easy to get out and around the bed without waking up your partner.

If going for a rear sleeping area, I would choose the two couches in the rear. I hadn't realized how many different ways they will pull out. You can pull one all the way out for what looked like a double bed and still have space between it and the other couch to walk (about as much space as there is around the 26 IB). Plus, you have the option of pulling the other couch out and making a very large king bed across the entire back of the MH. We also experimented with sitting on one couch and pulling the other one out enough to put your feet up. This was very comfortable as you had a couch back to sti/lean against. It's a really good floor plan.

It was a tough decision but again, the feeling of space from the RB tipped the scales for us.

For us, the dual couch configuration was the only way to go. It is so great for both of us to be able to nap at the same time. Also for us, who have a 1998 model with the TV at the rear on a pull-up table (they changed this is 1999), it is heaven for both of us to lounge and watch TV.

Good luck
