Thank you for all the response on the issue of the table between the rear sofas on the 26mb.    What a fun group!!!   I don't get my LD until probably September,   and I am not liking the wait.   The group helps.   I read every post.   Kate

I have read with interest the comments regarding the table that can be ordered as an option from LD.  We won't have our 26.5' MB until next October, but like many others, we have become active readers of these posts ... trying to learn as much about RVs and the LDs in particular as we can before we become "real" owners!

It seems that many of you have opted for other types of tables (in particular the one from Costco.)  Is there anyone out there who does have the LD table and who likes the table?  We plan to pick up the LD and head out on the road for at least a year.  The table seemed a good investment.  (In fact, in reading Andy's "Travels With Gertie" - in one of his pictures it looks like he is using the table.)  Perhaps I haven't read carefully enough, but I don't remember reading any "good" or positive comments from those Full-Timers who use the table.

It is such a pleasure and education to read the many postings.

Hi Kathleen,

We added the table and are very happy with it.  It's out of the way when you don't need it, and makes a great game table or extra dining table.  We love having the kids at one area, and the adults at the other (they have more fun too).
I was more concerned with the whole/plug in the middle of the floor, none of the models in Montclair were built with that option, and we feared that it would mess with the good looks of the LD.

Now having lived with the table and plug, it's not that noticeable and we are glad we added it.

I can't speak for the other table from Costco, it might be better.
We haven't driven with the table up, usually someone is napping back there, watching a tape or playing games on the Sony Play station 2 while we are on the road.

As far as options go on the LD, I recommend getting everything that you think you might use one day.  This being our first RV, we were talked out of the options we thought we needed.  After the order, and during the long waiting period, we slowly added them all back and more.  The only one I haven't used so far is the outside shower, but we haven't camped at the beach yet either.  I regret not adding the second solar panel and CB radio also.
This being a major investment in enjoying life, I would order any and all options built in by LD, they do a good job reinforcing the areas that need it at time of construction, and can hide any wires before the walls go up.
