pickup 2/27 and installing my jotto desk

Greetings,

We got the call!  Woohoo!
So I was wondering... I travel everywhere with my pc and copilot and I would like to install the Jotto desk immediately that my wonderful wife got me for Christmas.

Is this hard to do?  Is there anything in the floor between the driver and the passenger that I need to worry about?

Thanks

Dave

It's pretty easy: just drill six holes and put in sheet metal screws. You're going into a fairly heavy gauge stamped steel floor pan, so there's nothing to worry about puncturing--I had no troubles when I did this in Gertie.
My only caution would be to make very sure before you drill those holes that you have the Jotto Desk where you want it. Try out the various adjustments and angles to see what works best and interferes least. I found that mounting mine offset a little toward the passenger's seat worked well for me, but your situation may be different. Do some advance planning and testing, and the installation itself will be a piece of cake.

Congratulations Dave, Please add your information to the Delivery Database when you get a moment.  That will really help out those of us that are a month or two away from getting the call ourselves.  I know we're attempting to forecast when we'll probably hear from the factory for our pickup in late March or April.

I look forward to hearing your report on your pickup experience and your drive home.

Thanks,

Charles.
