This question is for robhaerr. Your interior upholstery pictures seem to show pink in your blue print.
Does your fabric really have pink in it or is that just photo distortion? The sample fabrics that we received from LD do not have any pink in them. Also, do you think that the blue interior makes the coach feel darker overall than the tan does? Thanks

To enlarge this conversation just a tad, I have not heard any of you talk of leather. Does LD offer as an option either in the cab chairs or in the couches or barrell chairs? If yes, can any of you share your experience on how its held up? If no, has anyone converted the vinyl or fabric to leather in the aftermarket? Thanks.

Bob:

I purchased my '93 26MB used in '98.
The prior owner had replaced the standard LD supplied seats with Flexsteel seats, that are leather. He said he only did it because his wife "loves" leather seats. They are not only beautiful and comfortable, but they match the cab interior perfectly. He had them done somewhere in San Diego. I imagine you could contact an aftermarket RV Flexsteel dealer, to get pricing.

Sorry, Bob, my prior post may not have been clear.  The leather seats that were replaced were only the driver and passenger.

Dear Fun: I'm not Rob but I still wanted to weigh in with our opinion which is to go Tan. That's what we decided to do in the 26.5 MB we will take delivery on in late March. And our reasoning was that it does make it lighter inside. The wood is kind of dark and while there is plenty of light in the rear quarters with those large windows on three sides, we concluded that we didn't want a dark decor up front where there seems to be a little less natural light. After the factory tour, we knew that we wanted "light and bright". This is our 4th motorhome in the last 6 years so we have been through the color spectrum and the one thing we were sure we wanted color wise was a rug that was not light in color and the "tan" (brown) rug looks good. Every other one we had came with a light aqua, or near white, or light pink and those colors do not forgive coffee spills.

In fact we went Tan (Champagne, I prefer to call it) on the outside as well. It just looks right.

I will admit that our second choice for exterior, and it was a close second, was the red. So there you have it, an unsolicited highly opinionated response from the shores of Lake Macatawa.

Regards.

Does your fabric really have pink in it or is that just photo distortion? It's not pink, but rather mauve(a greyish pink, I guess) and burgundy. There are also grey accents. The color in the photo might be distorted due to resizing the photo to be posted on the site. The teal and tan versions also have burgundy highlights.
We went with the blue scheme because our '85 LD was brown with a real dark (and warm) tobacco brown scheme. It felt nice like a mountain cabin.
I really like the warm feel.
The newer tan/brown wasn't as warm as older models and we wanted a change anyway. The blue is bright and cool feeling...we use dark blue throw rugs and such to protect the carpet. It works for us.
We also chose to have the print pattern on the dinnette rather than a solid dark blue.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!
