Global Pass October 23, 2024, 11:01:05 pm I travelled along Highway 9 from Las Cruces NM to Columbus NM, along the border with Mexico. I got charged by Xfinity Mobile a Global Pass fee for having crossed into Mexico, even though I did not. Just FYI. Took an hour of texting with Xfinity to get it sorted out. Also Poncho Villa State Park is lovely and empty right now. Ran into another Lazy Daze, a 1994 shortie. Such a surprise in the middle of nowhere.

It can happen if the strongest compatible cell tower signal happens to come from a cell tower that happens to be across the border. Depending on topography, the cell tower can be several miles away.Art 1 Likes
Re: Global Pass Reply #2 – October 25, 2024, 09:29:02 am There should be a way of setting your phone up so that it will not pick up a foreign cell tower. I remember doing this when we were spending some time near the Mexican border, but don't remember how I did it. You can contact your cellular provider to get directions. 2 Likes
