Transmission fluid type October 12, 2024, 11:50:29 am My owners manual say's to use Motorcraft MERCON V ATF 4R70W.I was told I can use Valvoline MaxLife Multi-Vehicle Full Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid Valvoline is $5 cheaper per gallon.Is it safe to use Valvoline?Thanks

It’s John’s recommended fluid and is changed every 30,000 miles. Re: Transmission fluid type Reply #3 – October 12, 2024, 12:35:28 pm Larry, My LD has been sitting for about a month. I drained 10.5 quarts of transmission fluid from the pan. I'm not doing a drain and flush. My LD has 43k miles.
