LD Achilles heel?
Hi all—new owner (2007 23 1/2 TK) on the maiden voyage and first overnight stay.   I continue to be amazed by the quality of the build which is why I bought LD in the first place.   I am a little surprised by the lack of electrical outlets, but other than that we are truly impressed.   My question is about specific things I should watch for and take precautions ahead of time to keep this beauty in the best condition I can.   We are experienced RVers and know about checking the roof seams, etc., but, is there anything LD specific of which i should be aware??   Thanks for any and all input.

An Achilles heel  is a near fatal injury, the lack of a few plugs doesn’t qualify.
Extra plugs were optional when the rig was built. Extra plugs can be retrofitted as needed.
The windows and end caps are the primary sources of rot with the rear wall being the most common area.

One of my few gripes is what is known as Lake Newton.
The front part of my roof will pool water after a rain.
The gripe is that when I move and have my window down
it sends all that water over the side and I get drenched.

Larry—thanks for the info.  I didn’t mean to imply that the lack of outlets was the Achilles heal for the LD!   Love it in spite of any shortcomings!

Yeah, it took a couple times before we learned to shut the windows and for the wife to get out of the way.
We would roll down the windows to communicate and she would be ready to remove any leveling pads. I think she got wet once and I got wet once or twice.

As far as the number of outlets, we found that a power strip near the table is helpful, other than that we wouldn't need anymore outlets.
