Outdoor Storage July 05, 2024, 05:59:59 pm What are your recommendations when storing the RV in a hot summer environment? Should the roof vents be left open or closed (we do have MaxxAir covers on them)? The cab windows are covered with an insulated cover and the window shades are down. Any other recommendations?
Re: Outdoor Storage Reply #1 – July 05, 2024, 06:24:43 pm We store ours outside. Real hot here so I run the A/C all day with the thermostat set at 85. I posted before that I apply Rejex polymer to the body and Aerospace 303 to the window seals for protection from the UV rays. Both work great. jor
Re: Outdoor Storage Reply #2 – July 06, 2024, 12:30:21 pm Don't know about being in the sun all day but I thought I read to leave at least one vent cracked open. I open two vents a little, our RV is under a carport in Florida.

Re: Outdoor Storage Reply #4 – July 06, 2024, 01:32:53 pm Here in San Diego it does get hot also. I usually leave the rear fantastic vent fan a few inches open. Hot air inside rises to the top, so the hottest air escapes. Without a vent cover I have to clean the fan from the roof every year or so. (My roof vent cover has been protecting my outside workbench for a few years! (on the to-do list)) RonB
