Little Bugs at Lake Elsinore
For those of you who were at Lake Elsinore for the most recent caravan those little non-biting bugs were called Buzzer Midges.   They were in huge volumes, but harmless.  They really made a "snap" when they flew into the electric insect trap!

That's the same critter I know as a Crane Fly, also called a Mosquito Hawk.  ;)
