Parking it against the underside of the cabinet its mass works against that, allowing some bouncing underway, causing noise and wear on the positioning lock.Steve

I just use short screws. Sometimes I use double sided tape too or I put a drop of wood glue on each screw. If necessary and if accessible, I install some blocking. I did that for one of my old fans. See photo. Re the little shelf, I used six screws with a drop of wood glue. Re wall vs. ceiling, like Steve said above. I had mounted my old fans to the ceiling but I felt that the Siroccos were better off mounted vertically.jor 3 Likes

Only issue is I need to provide a remote on/off speed control, which is not offered on these. However, I can hook up a wired remote push-button for that with a simple wire-in to the switch circuit which will be an easy mod.Steve
Re: New Fans Reply #7 – April 13, 2024, 05:27:07 pm Under the cabinets offer more wood to mount to as well as easy access to existing wires to tap into, both missing in the TK cabover.Going to ponder more for a week or so before installing it. Currently thinking about the corner above the drivers seat next to the bathroom, out of the way, harder to reach but could be used as an auxiliary fan while driving.
