Will my right front passenger seat rotate?
1991 24' MP. I'd like to rotate my passenger seat to face the coach interior.
There's a lever under the front of the seat, but I can't move it.
And the base of the seat looks like a swivel mount.
But am not sure that even if I can get the seat to swivel, is there enough room for it on its right side, or will it bump into the side by the door.
Does anyone know -- when this LD was new, did the seat swivel? Was that a selling point, back then?

To my knowledge, stock Laze Daze didn’t have a swivel, would have likely been an aftermarket upgrade.

I added such a base to the passenger seat in my 2017 TK in 2022.

Swiveling isn’t easy, it’s like a puzzle you solve, open the door, push the seat all the way forward, swivel the chair counter clockwise 90 degrees, push the chair forward a bit, continue counter clockwise until the chair is facing backwards, then position to your liking.    Something like that, it’s not a simple single rotate.

But with practice, I can do it all in 20-30 seconds.

It sure looks like a swivel seat base, I have noticed that older LDs with Factory swivel seats did not have shoulder belts, only seat belts that were part of the upper seat and not bolted through the floor.

We have a swivel seat. - I think original.
We have to move the seat all the way to the back (I think the bar in front of the seat) so when it swivels (toward the driver seat) it clears the doghouse easily.

The swivel handle is a pull up on the left side of the seat (if you were sitting in it).  That lever gets lifted up and the seat turned while it is lifted.
We have swiveled it maybe 20 times but we don’t do it regularly (and have not for a couple years) so we think those are the steps.
You may need to futz with it as you figure out the steps but when we get the order right it turns pretty easily.

I previously had a 1987MP.  Both the drivers and passengers seat could rotate(swivel).  The drivers side could only rotate maybe 90 degrees.  The passenger side I use to rotate it a lot.  Don't remember how it was done.  When I switched to a 2003 T/K (which didn't swivel) I added a base so that the passenger seat will swivel.  Getting the 2003 to rotate is quite a process as someone else has said.  The 1987MP was easier to swivel.

Saturday, after TWO DAYS spent filling out state and IRS yearly forms for a small foundation we started a few years ago. Aarrgh. Anyway, today I went back to the swivel seat issue. Found that I could push down the bar on the front of the seat, and then it started swiveling when I pushed the seat sideways! Oh joy! But then, no. After a few inches of movement, it stopped.
Will try again tomorrow, after using the chrome lever on the left side of the seat to fold the back of the seat as far forward as it will go. Which MAY give the right side of the seat enough space to clear the doorframe. Stay tuned for exciting update!
P.S. Glad am inside and warm tonight, watching a college football game from Oregon... cold and raining hard up there, the field's a swamp... but it is a good game, with both teams being from that region and obviously used to the rain. Not Arizona!

We installed a swivel base on our ‘06 TK and always had to (1) push the seat as far forward as it could go and (2) open the passenger door to allow a full turn. Just the nature of the beast. — Jon&Loni
(Former) ‘06 TK “Albatross.” And (former) Vespa 250.   Alas, no more; both are gone.😕 Great memories remain! 😄

OK! Went back at the swivel seat issue today. Took a chisel and cut away a small part of the carpet and its wood backing near the bottom of the passenger seat on the doorframe. But while the seat would start to swivel, it still jammed when it hit that doorframe.
But then! I remembered an earlier post by Jane and Scott about pulling up a lever on the left side of the seat. The chrome lever there only lets me adjust the seatback angle. BUT! An RV Goddess Angel landed on my shoulder and whispered... "look again, dummy." And sure enough, there was a SECOND little lever with a black knob (hard to see), also on the left side of the seat but further down,  that.... miracle! ... allowed the seat to slide forward ... and then you push down on the THIRD lever at the bottom of the front of the seat, and it's suddenly easy to swivel the seat. First time since 1991, but no rust, still works!
Thanks to all for your comments. Being Irish-American, of course I read my old 1991 LD manual AFTER I figured it out... but, saving grace, there was nothing in it about swivel seats, since there was probably more oxygen in the air back then, people were smarter and younger, and didn't need any advice. Something like that!
Quick edit -- after swiveling, it blocks my rightside rearview mirror. But then, folding the seatback as far down as it can go, my driver's view of the mirror is clear. Perfect! End of this saga, with great respect for the LD designers who figured out how to add the swivel seat in a space with VERY tight clearances!
