Re: Bookmark Organization Reply #2 – October 21, 2022, 02:04:27 pm Looked through the Bookmarks addon page in Elkarte, didn’t see a method to organize Bookmarks nor in this discussion.Unless there is some advanced setting that the admins can enable, which I see no evidence there is one, I suspect there is nothing.[just reviewed all the Bookmarks source code, what we have is it, no organizational aids such a folders/subfolders]
Re: Bookmark Organization Reply #3 – October 21, 2022, 03:31:52 pm I've never tried to bookmark anything within this forum. However, I do bookmark extensively in my browser, Safari. As the attached screenshot shows, I organize those bookmarks by major categories, and then by folders within those categories. When I save a bookmark, Safari asks me where to put it, and I choose a category and if appropriate, subcategory, from those I've already set up.For example, the screenshot shows all my categories just below the URL bar. I've selected "RV", and from its drop-down menu, the folder "Lazy Daze groups." The resulting popup menu shows all the URLs in that category. Apple provides tools for sorting and organizing browser bookmarks; no doubt other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome have similar capabilities. 3 Likes
