Bookmark Organization
My bookmarks are numerous and a complete mess, making it difficult to find things.  Is there a way to organize them?

I hope you get a good reply, but then I’d have to bookmark the howto bookmark in order to organize my bookmarks 😁

Looked through the Bookmarks addon page in Elkarte, didn’t see a method to organize Bookmarks nor in this discussion.

Unless there is some advanced setting that the admins can enable, which I see no evidence there is one, I suspect there is nothing.

[just reviewed all the Bookmarks source code, what we have is it, no organizational aids such a folders/subfolders]

I've never tried to bookmark anything within this forum. However, I do bookmark extensively in my browser, Safari. As the attached screenshot shows, I organize those bookmarks by major categories, and then by folders within those categories. When I save a bookmark, Safari asks me where to put it, and I choose a category and if appropriate, subcategory, from those I've already set up.

For example, the screenshot shows all my categories just below the URL bar. I've selected "RV", and from its drop-down menu, the folder "Lazy Daze groups." The resulting popup menu shows all the URLs in that category.

Apple provides tools for sorting and organizing browser bookmarks; no doubt other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome have similar capabilities.

I do the same as Andy Baird, only I do it in chrome. Works the same as Safari.

I, too, do the same as Andy.  I'm using Microsoft Edge as my browser, but this system has worked in any browser I've used.

OK then, thanks everyone!  Until I can get around to it, I’m going to bookmark this thread.  Hopefully I’ll be able to easily find it! 🤪
