Mystery light ‘88 22RL March 01, 2023, 06:16:25 pm Previous owner couldn’t explain either. This light (probably not from factory) recently illuminated. It’s on continuously. Not hooked to shore power/all circuit breakers off. It’s on the wall below the folding counter extension. Can’t see how to remove the kitchen drawers in order to investigate the wiring???

Re: Mystery light ‘88 22RL Reply #5 – March 02, 2023, 01:28:55 am Hi Robert; No the light is not controlled by the 110vac. The 'breakers' only control 110VAC items, and that isn't a reliable test. For native 12volt items, you would need to pull 12 volt fuses to find the circuit involved. If the night light came on recently, you probably bumped the switch. When camping I use the night light routinely (LED of course) to avoid stepping on cats. To get the drawers out, just pull! It helps to get some speed up before they hit their full extension. Essentially you are forcing the ball bearings to slide instead of roll, to get them past where they normally stop. You may need to repeat this action a few times to get them all the way out. The center track will be dirty and greasy, along with bearing debris, so set them on paper towels. (something disposable). Clean and regrease the bearings and slide. I use a white polyethylene grease. If this is a first for you, it might be difficult to get the drawers out. I recently removed some drawers for the first time (23 years old). Cleaned and lubed, much better! The three drawers should have a water pump under the bottom drawer, and usually a LPG detector is located under the night light. You might want to consider adding a LPG detector. Pretty easy to tie into the 12 VDC of the pump in that location. RonB 1 Likes
Re: Mystery light ‘88 22RL Reply #6 – March 15, 2023, 01:24:06 am @RonB Thanks for your detailed post. U. R. Correct-I accidentally turned on the night light switch. Initially I was afraid of yanking the drawers and breaking something, but they finally cooperated. This will make my next task much easier-replacing the 35-year-old plastic water piping😵 1 Likes
