The area referenced is one of my favorite boondocking places - the Upper Green River valley (especially Green River Lakes), of Wyoming. In the 15 years I lived in North West Wyoming I observed the trend described in the article. A bit discouraging, for sure. However, there is a whole lot of beautiful country out there and even with the more recent hyper growth in RV adventurers, it is still possible to ‘get back” to nature if one puts some effort into it. Others just park in more accessible places for the season, since it's a steep grade to pull.It's the only forest area we have seen that has a fenced area where you can store your RV.We found several places, the one in the field of wildflowers was our fav.Ditto on the Green River, groups, and familes jammed together into any flat spot for miles.The good days are over. 2 Likes
