(The idea of being dominated by a sewer hose is so bizarre that I have to wonder what drugs the person who named it was taking.) Both the hose and its fittings are very sturdy. And unlike many hoses I've used, when I collapse it, it stays collapsed. It only pulls out to the length I want.When I'm at a dump station, I don't want my hose any longer than it needs to be. If it sprawls all over the place, that just makes it harder to deal with--especially if I'm in a situation where I'll need to "milk" the hose to completely empty it. Many hoses will start out collapsed, but as soon as I open a dump valve, will expand out to their full length. The Dominator hose doesn't. It stays just the length I want.With that hose and a Valterra HydroFlush elbow for back-flushing the tanks, I have a setup that works well for me.(Afterthought)However, those wiser than me have pointed out that this hose's end fittings are too large to fit in a Lazy Daze's storage tube, although they fit my Airstream's storage tube. The only fitting(s) that worked were these:Amazon.com: Valterra F02-3305VP EZ Coupler Red 90° Sewer Adapter and Thread...I carried an extra set of fittings and two hoses of different lengths; the twist-on fittings work on a standard 3" hose without already attached fittings. If one is concerned that a twist-on will leak, a tie wrap works just fine. I used this setup for many years and never had an issue; the red Valterra hose is no longer available without the attached fittings, as far as I know, so I used a medium weight generic hose. The linked-above fitting set may be hard to find now; Dometic bought Valterra a while back, and the product line-up has changed. As ever, YMMV. Caps and fittings on 3" dump hoses usually do not fit into the hose Factory storage. Some owners add a 4" diameter ABS drain pipe across the rear of their LD, near the rear bumper. I didn't have the Valterra Dominator hose when I had my Lazy Daze; I'm using it with my Airstream, which has a length of rigid sewer pipe beneath the rig for hose storage. So Joan's always reliable advice supersedes mine. Sorry for the bum steer!For the record, I just measured the female (larger) end of the Valterra Dominator hose, and its maximum diameter is 4-1/8". So you'd probably need a 4-1/2" to 5" storage tube. 1 Likes

To fit the hose into the factory storage tube, I remove the hose fittings and insert the bare 15’ hose into the storage vault. I rinse and store the hose end fittings in a container in my storage locker dedicated to all things related to sanitary dumping. There are lots of reasons not to leave a sewer hose connected, even when camping in one place for weeks. Small rodents, for example.
Re: Sewer hose suggestions Reply #10 – October 06, 2022, 07:55:54 am Like Glenn and Warren, I wanted a sewer hose that would fit in the Lazy Daze sewer hose storage tube. I needed to replace the LD supplied hose and I also an older and longer hose for home use. (Yes, I have a sewer clean out at home that I use a few times per year). I ordered the twin pack of Rhinoflex 10' sewer hoses complete with fittings. The problem was, the hose with fittings would not fit in the hose storage tube. And to remove the fittings, I had to cut them off. GrrrrTo make one of the hoses fit in the LD storage tube, I replaced one end with a straight hose fitting from Prest-O Fit; attaching it with a large screw clamp. The Prest-O Fit Blueline fitting is usually just inserted in the hole at the dumpstation but will easily attach to other couplings if you need to. The other end of the Rhinoflex now has a Camco Easy Slip straight hose adapter which has two grooves that lock on the LD's dump valves. It DOES fit inside the door of the storage tube. No need to remove and store any attachments. The Camco Easy Slip comes with a built in twisting clamp to attach it to the sewer hose.The Rhinoflex hose seems to be working out well. It is very flexible and collapses easily for storage. I would buy it again but the key to making it work for me is making it fit in the storage tube.Steve K 2 Likes
Re: Sewer hose suggestions Reply #11 – October 06, 2022, 12:57:13 pm When the Blue hose which was in the hose compartment when we bought our 98~MB failed due to being frozen in the storage tube and half of it stayed in the tube till thawed. We were stuck with only 6ft long so a replacement was needed right away. We bought the Valterra D04-0057 Heavy-Duty Quick Drain Hose - 15' and used the fitting from the old hose with a hose clamp on the outside. This fitting is most like the Valterra T1024-2 Black 3" Straight Hose Adapter. This setup fits in the storage tube but does not have a finished end on the output side, its been working for 7 years now. Karen~Liam 98 ~ MB NinA 1 Likes
