Dry camping, generator runs but no 120V AC September 19, 2022, 07:55:21 pm I need some help please. I’ve been dry camping for several days and 12V and solar is running fine. Just now I started the generator in order to run the microwave and it started and ran fine. While running the microwave I heard a pop and it stopped working. Now all of the AC outlets, the air conditioner, microwave and house battery charger are dead. I’ve flipped off/on all breakers in the power distribution box and checked the gfi breaker in there too. No change whatsoever. The 12V outlet, water pump and lights are all working. What am I missing? Thanks!- John

Re: Dry camping, generator runs but no 120V AC Reply #2 – September 19, 2022, 08:27:01 pm Thank you Deb, that’s exactly what it was. I flipped the switch on the generator like the guy said and now everything is working. I hope you are going to Morro Bay in March. I’d love to meet you in person. Thank you again 😁- John 1 Likes
Re: Dry camping, generator runs but no 120V AC Reply #3 – September 19, 2022, 08:34:37 pm While I’m at it, I thought I’d exercise the generator for an hour or so with the AC on. Also… I took Larry Wade’s advice from a long ago post and tighten the connection screws in the power panel. See Larry, we do pay attention 😁- John 1 Likes

I can relate to hot summers, I spent a good part of this one in Nevada and Arizona. PNW sounds pretty good 😊 - John
