Awning Adjustment
I noticed that my awning was not closing completely. It would sometimes close on the forward end but remain maybe 3/8" open on the back. I, of course, went at it without consulting any references. I managed to fix it but not in the normal way. After I got it done I checked and found an excellent writeup by DeltaMike from 2011 in the Companion and a recent thread (Awning Adjustment) with great instructions by Ed and Kent.

Anyhow, I was thinking maybe the latch was not operating properly so I cleaned it and lubed it with no improvement. (photo #1) Then upon close inspection I could see that when the awning touched the latch, it was favoring the front end just a bit, maybe and eighth or 3/16th. So I adjusted both arms slightly until the awning encountered the latch evenly and it closed with the little red flags up.

I've bookmarked the old thread and downloaded the Fianna docs so if there's a next time, I'll try that first!
