Re: Compartment Gasket Reply #2 – August 12, 2022, 04:56:12 pm Hi JOR; If it is just the double sided tape giving way; I peel as much as possible off. Clean the tape and where it used to be stuck to the aluminum with acetone. Careful with that, it will take off the paint also. I use Gorilla brand clear polyurethane glue and stick it back on. Usually the 'rubber' material is in good shape. Lasts better. A bit of teflon lube on the door sealing surface so the gasket doesn't stick to the door when you open it. It was original gasket, notice the red paint overspray. I find they pulled it too tight going around corners, it came off there first. Allowing for not stretching it going around corners left it short at the top. I had some spare material, and about 2"-3" would fill the gap. You can also pull some off of the generator door, since it is open to the ground inside the door anyway. RonB
Re: Compartment Gasket Reply #3 – August 12, 2022, 05:01:32 pm For what’s it worth, I bought B shaped black weatherstrip from Home Depot and split it in half. I removed the paper over the adhesive and press it on. It’s lasted for 3-4 years. 1 Likes

I like the idea of cannibalizing the genny or propane compartment. Just need a little. Thanks to all. Still would like to have a source for the same material though just in case. jor
Re: Compartment Gasket Reply #6 – August 13, 2022, 11:55:11 am I got the compartment stripping from the factory , but if calling Todd (the only “factory” source now, and suggested by pdl2win) is not in the plan, try McMaster - Carr; many choices of weather stripping for all sorts of applications. 1 Likes
