Lazy Daze sighting at EAA Airventure Oshkosh & Marathon, WI
I spend the week at EAA Airventure in Oshkosh.  In addition to the nonstop parade of airplanes (everything from the F-35C to powered parachutes), I was happy to spot a LD in the campground and another in the tiny town of Marathon, WI when I made a fuel stop.  I never saw anybody by the one in the campground but was able to exchange waves with the driver in Marathon.

Airventure is always an amazing experience.  I used to fly into the show & make a day trip of it.  But a few years ago I made the trip in my LD and found camping to be a total game changer.  There are so many thousands of airplanes to see, vendors to visit, workshops & forums to attend in addition to the daily 4 hour air show (and nighttime air shows on Wednesday & Saturday).  And the campground is enormous, endless level grounds, and a high volume of shuttle buses to get you where you want to go.

A friend of mine drove his class A in from Seattle & we established our own base camp for the week.  Truly unforgettable.
