Newbies Starting Reno on 2005 RB
Thanks All for the great posts and info on this site- Hugely Helpful!!! About a month ago we posted we were looking to buy an LD - and we did! We bought a 2005 RB “Party Plan” 94k miles. Decent shape, decent price, decent opportunity to learn new things! We are new to RVing. We have some rot in the back wall driver’s side. We found the open seam where water was coming in- sealed it up with 3M 5200. Rest of the seams to follow. Roof has EternaBond already on the seams. We decided to take out the carpet, valences, shades and recover the cushions. We are going to paint the cabinets.
Can we repaint the walls (research needed on this)? What would we use to patch holes in the walls?
After the rot dries out and we do some stabilization - what are the recommendations for wallboard to put up?
We are having Fun!
Here’s what we started with and where we are now:

Yes! It is Ted H’s old rig! A few other owners between him & us. Ted had meticulous records & service, we are very lucky 😊
