Why I’m not Level
When I’ve parked the LD in the driveway in front of our garage, I’ve noticed it’s very unlevel.  I’ve tried to level it at that location in the past without success. So when I moved it over today to perform some weed whacking on the hill next to where I normally store the RV, I decided to see exactly what was going on using the recently installed LevelMatePRO.  It’s no wonder I was having so much difficulty!

Off by that much, you should see things roll down hill!

Dave, if It rolls downhill it won’t be far as the garage will stop it!

But maybe don't try to run your fridge at that angle.

For sure!  I’ve always tried to get it within half a bubble in the past.  Not sure how that would equate (inches) using the LevelMate tho?

Good question. Norcold says their fridges are OK as long as they're not more than 3° off level from side to side and 6° from front to back (of the fridge, that is), and I'm guessing Dometic's are similar. The LevelMate Pro must know internally what the angle is, but it converts that to inches for your convenience... but in this case you want to know the level in degrees.

Best thing I can think of is to measure directly by using a level-measuring app on your phone (such as Apple's "Measure", which comes with every iPhone) and placing the phone on the floor of the freezer compartment.

Andy, the levelmate I purchased a couple months ago does show angle in degrees in addition to inches. I did have to enable it in the settings though.

Didn’t know about the angle option either, wasn’t obvious to me, but it’s there at the top of settings.

You do have to use the alternate view, as top down doesn’t show angles.

Thanks, I found the angle setting.  Guess I’m a little confused- why doesn’t it show an angle for the 11.25” corner?

As Dave mentioned, the app only shows angles when in side view mode. Thus it won't display an angle for a corner, since those are only shown in top view mode.

Thanks, Andy.  I doubt I would ever "camp" at these angles, but would you consider the measurements shown in my photos to be safe for fridge use purposes?

Well, they fall within Norcold's 3°/6° limits, so they should be OK.
