Electric steps switch on but steps go in and out when screen opened or closed

I am in Florida and my steps were staying out because i had the switch ativated by door. Yesterday i opened the screen door and closed it and the steps came in ...the switch was still activate and the steps should have stayed out.
I took the cover off the switch panel box inside cabinet to check fuse. It was not burnt through. I could not get the cover off the front of the 3 switch for fear of breaking it.
I have been sitting on the driver side sofa and occasionally hear a relay clicking noise....not sure if it is connected.
Anyone had this issue.

On my Jayco Class C with Kwikee Steps, the magnet that triggers the steps is mounted on the screen door. Sounds like yours is the same way.

Yes the magnet is on the screen door and it is working. I open the door and the steps.go out. Close the screen door and the step goes in. The switch can be moved to either position and the steps do the same as described above.

It does sound like something connected to the magnetic reed switch and the switch.
Both the door switch and magnetic reed switch are connected to the control box through a plug that has been known to suffer from corroded contacts.
Opening and closing the plug a few times usually will clean the contacts, a generous application of dielectric grease to the contacts will help prevent future contact issues.

Thanks Larry, I return home Monday and will go check that. I cleaned the grounds with a wire brush and then just took the 20amp fuse out of the panel...did not want it to interrupt my fun....lol

I ordered a triple switch from Lazy Daze ( they are made together in one case)
It was odd the way you take them apart. All 3 toggle covers have to be removed to access all 6 screws. You pinch in on the center side and pull outward...i used a flat trim tool to make the pressure on one side while pulling outward with finger and tool. As usual with LD there is a tiny touch of sealant/caulk on one side of cover hinge opening...love that about LD things stay put.....like taking something apart in a 80s honda..a zillion screws and fastners for a tiny panel..lol.
After removing the covers and screws i pulled each connector off the back of the switch and transfered one at a time to make sure i did not confuse the wiring. Take a picture of the front of the old switch toggle so you can remember which cover goes where....to reinstall the toggles just slightly pinch in on the sides and the pop into place. I used the old covers because the print was different on the new ones...plus the sticky stuff was still on the pivot poi ts...lol.
Note to self: Do not bump switch with shoulder when coming inside.
Needs a curved bar over the top of switches just in case...i would suggest keeping the old switch in case any other switch goes out....this would be a good test switch for diagnois .
I never checked the connector because i noticed if i tapped on the broken switch it would work intermittenly....after removal i could pull and push down on the terminals of the switch and it made a click pop noise...clear indication i broke it.
