in line sink aerator cleaning
I want to remove and clean the in line aerator under the sink.
I can unscrew the flex hose on the bottom of the aerator but cannot disengage the top part that slides and is restrained by several finger-like phenolic "catches".
Not an easy place to access and work and hesitant to not damage it.
I actually have attached a photo of the aerator.
Some guidance and procedure is needed.
BTW: This is our 2010 rear dinette, 24ft'er..Our 2nd one; 1st one was a 1973 19 ft'er rear dinette...Well built..time to hit the road again after 2 covid years..

I called Dehco Inc and a tech support person explained how to remove the hose adapter by holding both parts together and then pull off to clean. My adapter was almost completely clogged with water minerals. Blew out the inlet side and reinstalled by holding both parts together again and push on until you hear a click..attach hose.
The Techie said about 90% of a slow flow faucet is due to this hose adapter being clogged. What gets past this first "trap" to the Spray head are smaller particles.
Might suggest this remove, clean, and reinstall as part of the de-winterizing..
