Amazon purchase of Shure 4008 water pump - used merchandise
Just a quick FYI.  I just purchased what was described as a new Shure 4008 water pump from Amazon.  I've got a few years on the current pump and wanted to be ready with a spare.

The pump I was sent from Amazon was used.  It had clearly been previously installed as evidenced by the wiring crimps still on the wires that had been on the previous installation.  (photo below) The unit was roughly stuffed back into an OEM box.

This pump was sent by Amazon Fulfillment.  I have my suspicions that merchants using Amazon Fulfillment are using it as a way to ditch or bleed off their own used or returns inventory.  I've had two other experiences of receiving used merchandise via Amazon Fulfillment that was described on the Amazon site as NEW.

Return it as "not as described". Contact the seller and let them know your displeasure. If they don't satisfy you, give them a bad review.

I still have an FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) seller account and Amazon does not play games with merchants that misrepresent the items they are selling.

Amazon has a very simple return policy. Return it and order again.
