No AC
I just went to ready our LD for a future extended trip and discovered I have no AC. The Generator  fires up, the inverter is on (Prosine 2KW) and tried connecting to shore power. Today no AC from any source. Could it be a be a transfer switch problem or ?. Two weeks ago all was fine.  Spoke to Todd at the mothership and he indicated it probably is the Parallax converter. He referred me to Bruce at Parallax. Our LD is a 2009 coach (32K IB) on the Kodiak chassis (one of three built). Any thoughts?

When you say 'no ac' do you mean nothing happens or that the air it blows is not cold?

No AC means no 120 volt power. If the generator runs it is generating 120 volt power. Your main circuit breaker is off? Wire loose in the breaker panel? Transfer switches can go open circuit but usually a failed transfer switch will let shore power in. I suspect it will be an easy fix.

Replacing the transfer switch is not an easy fix as the new ones, though better electronically, are not an exact replacement. Been there.

Might be a problem with the inverter if it is an inverter charger. Remove it from the system and see what works. Again, it should be easy to troubleshoot.

If it were mine, I would verify voltage at the A/C unit then work from there. Do you have a remote thermostat? Is the A/C breaker on?

Hey all,

I need to clarify my original post. By "No AC" I mean no 110 VAC from any source; shore power, generator or inverter.
Thanks for listening,

Problem solved. Ground default breaker was the culprit.

edited by RonB to clarify future search results:  GFCI had tripped, or was bad. (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). A GFCI is to protect people from electrocution, and can sometimes 'trip' as a nuisance.
