As a refresher, "newbie" status is not based on time of membership, rather number of posts over time. I actually spent some time searching for a written answer last week. That being said, I concluded it had something to do with postings. I do a lot of reading on this forum, but I don't have any new wheels to invent at the moment to post some helpful hints. I have already performed a few of the maintenance issues myself.Fun stuff

I naturally thought my newest addition to my list would also imply it is my one and only...I see how you have listed yours. I will gladly update my listings to proudly add current and probably last RV to my Lazy Daze Forum Signature I even inadvertently did not have my most previous TT listed, the poor little Minnie Winnie, loved but sold for an older model RV Class C....the nerve....LOL

Specifically, considering number of posts (quantity), as well as number of “Likes” (a measure of quality), might incentivize different (better?) forum posting behavior. After hanging out here for 2 decades, I have to say overall posting behavior, except for rare occasions, is far superior and civil than most open posting blogs. Chris

I suspect that many members, like me, don't pay attention to them. (A younger, Facebook-trained crowd would probably be different.)I have a different suggestion: don't take the status rankings seriously, because they really don't tell you much except how long a member has been around. For example, I have a lot of posts, but arguably that could just mean I like to shoot off my mouth. ;-)The only time I pay attention to the ranking is when I see "Newbie"--that tells me to be extra patient, maybe answer questions at a little bit more basic level, and above all, avoid giving off the old-timer's "You mean you don't know that?!" vibe that's so off-putting when a newcomer encounters it. 6 Likes
