Re: Max wheel pressure/replacement tire brand Reply #50 – July 01, 2021, 11:19:35 am Ok Joan, please help me understand…. Based on the specs from your links the LT Cross Climate are rated at 2680# and 90psi max, while the C Cross Climate is rated at 3195# and 83psi max. The description only says about the difference Available in heavy-duty, LT-metric and Euro-metric Commercial Vehicle. So which one should we buy? I’m about 5 years away from having to make that choice, but the answer would help others. Thanks 😊 - John

Re: Max wheel pressure/replacement tire brand Reply #52 – July 01, 2021, 01:23:06 pm "So which one should we buy?"----John, I can't tell anyone which tire to buy; I can offer links to tire information, specs, and options, but the final choices are up to the person buying the tires. I hope that people do their own research, learn as much as they can about what makes a "good" tire in the appropriate application, and not rely on the word of a tire salesman. Some tire shops have knowledgeable management and trained, supervised, experienced installers, but many do not. It's up to the tire buyer to know what he/she needs and to find a shop that is dedicated to doing the job right and standing behind their work. What I will say - and this is a "YMMV" thing, for sure - is that if I were buying new tires today, my choice would be the Agilis Cross Climate LT225/75R/16E; this tire is the latest iteration of the old "LTX" and the "Defender". https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Agilis+CrossClimate&partnum=275R6ACCV2&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes 5 Likes

I appreciate her candor; that people need to do their homework and are responsible for their own choices. Thank you Joan 👍- John

Re: Max wheel pressure/replacement tire brand Reply #56 – July 03, 2021, 01:02:31 pm Hello John, The Michelin agilis cc C metric is supposedly a unidirectional tire in the 225/75R16 size .Even though one Michelin inflation chart says otherwise, Michelin "corporate" in contrast with customer service has told me that the LT 225/75R16 E agilis cc requires 90 psi as marked on the sidewall to carry 2470 #s dual.Michael 1 Likes

Re: Max wheel pressure/replacement tire brand Reply #59 – August 01, 2021, 05:24:59 pm I was surprised to see the Hankook tires and asked a tire service store owner friend their opinion even though he doesn't sell them. He had heard only good reports of this brand and we have had no negative issues with ours. The ride and tracking is good. We have only used Michelin's in the past and so far I like these as well. I have no idea why Ford changed.
