Got the sink drain removed February 26, 2021, 02:09:31 pm So what's the big deal? My only complaint about our 2007 is that the "chrome" started flaking off all the sink drains after a few years. It looked bad and bugged me. I tried, my muscular S-I-L tried to break the sealant. No joy.I got a plumber to do it. The kitchen drains came right out, but he had to cut the bath sink out with a hacksaw blade. Slow going. See the sealant. Now picture it all the way down the threaded section. 1 Likes

No joy..The stock three-hole drain basket is an odd size, most home faucets use a four-hole drain and are removed with a common four-hole puller.I made a three-hole puller for getting tough drains out, I have not found one yet that the tool couldn't break free, although it feels at times that the whole sink is going to come loose. They are bigger vertically which has created a problem with routing the plastic drain pipes to the existing system. Egads. We have one sink drain waiting for us to figure this out. Seems like 2 trips to the hardware store was not enough runs to sort this out. whoops...End of this story is to buy the exact same size width and depth and it makes the process easier…all except removal.
