New Tires and Borg Valve stems balancing
Hello,

I will be purchasing new Michelin tires for our 2000 LD Rear Bath. Based on info I have read, I will also be purchasing the Borg extended valve stems for the rear dually's. On the Borg website it says this may effect the tire installers ability to balance the rear tires on the shop balancing machines. I was wondering what other LD Owner experience was with this? Can they indeed be balanced on shop machine or do I need to purchase the balancing compounds from Borg. I will most likely purchase from Discount tire as this is a National chain and we will be rving fulltime cross-country.

Thanks
George Kelly

The tire and wheel assemblies will have the stems installed before balancing.
The extended stems will not affect the tire balance since they will be part of the balanced assembly.
Put the extended stems on and enjoy easier pressure testing and airing.
