Squeaky Floor Board
Our floor has developed a squeak (more of a creak really).  The main floor level area adjacent the entry step on our 2019 Mid Bath creaks as one steps onto and off of the area.  Were this a home issue I’d screw the floor board down with a flooring screw (one with a head that can be broken off once the screw is set).  I feel, however that I need to 1) diagnose the source of the noise and 2) understand the floor construction before attempting a repair.  Suggestions on either count would be appreciated.

I don’t know if this will help, but we also had a creaky floor in the same area as you described.   The subfloor is OSB  plywood which if not securely attached to the frame makes little noises.  Once I had tightened the 16-18 frame bolts, we had a bit less creaky noises.  After we installed luxury vinyl planking, all signs of creaking were a distant memory.  My guess is the vinyl planking helped to spread the load.   That’s my half-baked comment.

Three possible sources.
First, check for possible loose frame bolts, as Ed pointed out. They loosen as the miles pass. Snug them up but do not over tighten, the bolts have carriage heads and can spinis overtightened. A 9/16” socket, with extensions and a ratchet, and a 9/16” combination wrench are what you use for the job.
Tighten the four bolts that secure the steps to the bottom of the motorhome, the carriage bolts slowly sink into the wood framing and loosen.
Next, the bottom of the rig is covered in galvanized sheet metal, secured with sheet metal screws, tighten the screws around the steps area. Use a nut driver to tighten them.

Hey Warren,

I don't know if these will be helpful but the link below shows the steps without carpet when I was installing my floor. Hopefully, the construction is similar.
