Metallic Brake Pads & HD Oil Filter.
Rock Auto periodically sends an overstock sale notice.  One item this time caught my attention: metallic brake pads (link to specific product, below).  I wonder what the mechanics out there think about using metallic pads on our E-450 MB?

Similarly, Bosch, heavy duty oil filters are available at a substantial discount.  I’ve always used Motorcraft.  Thoughts?

Thanks,

Warren

If you like the performance of your LD, consider staying with the stock Ford disc brake pads. You need a pad formulated for the heavy loads an RV carries, IMO, Ford did a good job of picking the right material formulation. Brakes are an area where going low-buck out can be deadly
The Bosch filters are a good choice.
