Re: What Are You Eating? Reply #25 – February 19, 2021, 03:06:56 pm My wife and I adopted a whole food plant based (WFPB) diet in 2009. We were out in our first LD (a 1994 multiplan) and I was reading Dr. Esselstyn's book "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease." I was having some angina issues at the time. We made the decision to adopt a WFPB diet on that trip and never looked back. I ultimately did have two artery stents inserted in 2011 which likely resulted from my eating habits prior to adopting a WFPB diet. Dr. Michael Greger has a helpful list of supplements to consider taking for those eating a WFPB diet: Optimum Nutrition Recommendations | NutritionFacts.orgWhen we are traveling (either in the LD or otherwise) and want restaurant food we use the "Happy Cow" app to find restaurants that serve WFPB food: https://www.happycow.net/mobileOne such restaurant, The Shine Cafe, is in Morro Bay. We have had a number of enjoyable meals there.Paul H. 2 Likes
