This post recommends to seal the hole with a good sealant. What sealant should I use considering that the antenna connection may need to to be accessed in the future? Thanks for the help,David

Re: Sealing the TV Antenna Access Hole Reply #3 – January 24, 2021, 07:24:18 pm Thanks for asking the question, David. I recently replaced my antenna and did not want to seal the coax connectors with FC 5200 since it is pretty permanent from what I hear. I did a temporary seal with electrical tape instead. I will use Dicor for the semi-permanent seal, maybe just cover up the electrical tape with Dicor?
Re: Sealing the TV Antenna Access Hole Reply #4 – January 24, 2021, 08:12:25 pm Greg is close to my thought, except instead of electrical tape, I would use rescue tape. It is a silicone base and sticks to itself but nothing else. Stretch it, wrap the connection, then cover with whatever caulk you want. At some time in the future, if you want to remove it, slit the caulk with a sharp knife, then a light cut through the rescue tape will leave you with a clean connector.Ken F in NM 1 Likes
