I am the Steve K. that recommended the ADCO cover to Ron last year. Our 2003 had had a cover on it every winter since it was new.

As for how they hold up, my first one lasted very well but it did develop several rips and tears over the years; one in particular was where the generator exhaust pipe would rub the cover. That side of the LD seemed to take the most wind. I would say the 2nd one has not held up quite as well but I will get a few more years of use before getting another one.

My opinion is that I would rather have the cover deal with the winter weather we experience in northeast Ohio than subject the Lazy Daze to the freezing rain and snow. I should add though that once the cover is on, it stays on until mid April. I know some folks have expressed concern with the cover possibly damaging the paint; that has ***not*** been my experience.

I suggest you remove your radio antenna and if you have a CB antenna if you have one before putting on the cover.

When I exercise the generator,  I plug one of these heat dishes in as well as the A/C (when the cover is off).  When the cover is on, I drape the left side of the cover over the adjacent fence to avoid carbon monoxide.    I have to replace the dish as it gave up the ghost earlier this year - cost was $47, and replacement is $79 - lasted many years {trivia}.

During the summer,  light thru the ADCO cover was enough for solar panels to keep the batteries topped off, doesn't do it with the shorter days {more trivia}.

Thank you for the information.  Never heard of the heat dish, will have to check it out. ( thanks for the link) I am surprised that
enough light goes thru the ADCO for the solar panels to  keep the batteries topped off, but I am new to this.  I do have the additional optional solar panel so that would be good.

Disclaimer - I have 560 watts in 5 panels to get that in the summer.  Doesn't work now.  A single 100 W panel wasn't enough for modest use in the winter.
