Good-by Alex
I have watched Jeopardy since my college days and it has been a dinnertime habit ever since.
Art Flemming had the reins for a few years until Alex replaced him, many decades ago.
Alex was a true gentleman and will be missed.
RIP Alex.

Just learned of his passing; sad news indeed but not totally unexpected.  Jeopardy was (and is) watched in our household whenever possible.  Alex and Jeopardy will be deeply missed but it is being reported his shows will continue until Dec. 25th.
So glad we were able to attend one of the tapings a couple years ago!

I was fortunate enough to be a contestant on one of his pre-Jeopardy game shows back in the 80s (Battlestars). Nerve-wracking but fun experience.

He was a nice man. RIP Mr. Trebek.

Saddened by the passing of Alex Trebek.

His sublimely grounded hosting of Jeopardy has been a fixture of my adult life, required viewing.  He lead a life I aspired to.   Just finished listening to his autobiography this past Sunday, where he announced his last round of chemo would be his last, so I knew this day was coming.

Glad he went out on his own terms and lived a full life.  Does not mean I will not miss him terribly, the world is emptier without him.

I hated the show because it made me feel stupid. My brother who has a genius level IQ really hates it because he can't answer the questions either.

Wonder who they'll get to replace Alex?  This year they brought Ken Jennings in and he's done a couple of video categories.  I wondered at the time if perhaps he's going to take over.  It'll be interesting to see who replaces Alex's large shoes.
