Dump Valve
My dump valve has gone AWOL! It fell off or was bumped off. I have done about 2 hrs research here and online to no avail. The ID of the fitting is 3 1/2". Yet all I can find are 3" ID's. I appreciate any help please. (1990).

This is what I need . . . . https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Sewer/Valterra/T70.html

To the best of my knowledge, there are two sizes - 1.5" and 3".  If the assembly is missing, you might be looking at fittings that are not part of the valve, but rather are part of the connection/plumbing to the tank.

Your LD originally had a 3" dump valve, if the one shown at Etrailer is an exact copy, that's the one to get.

Some dumps valves are glued on, others secured with a rubber coupler and hose clamps.
Any idea which one your rig had?  If it was glued on, the tank's outlet should show signs of damage or broken glue bonds.
If not, it was probably secured with a rubber coupler and clamps, they will need to be ordered.

Can someone please answer about replacement waste valves --

Is there a real difference between these waste valves from Amazon?

Not Available out of stock -- Valterra - is it worth waiting for?
Amazon.com: Valterra Bladex 3-Inch Waste Valve Body with Metal Handle,...

Available -- Camco (they say consider this...)
Amazon.com: Camco 39511 3" Waste Valve with Metal Handle- Easily Replace...

Thanks, Kristin

I ordered the 3" Valterra with the metal handles the other day, for both grey and black.   They haven't come in yet, so I can't tell you if they are the correct ones. Obviously I am hoping and thinking so. I think I ordered them from PPL.

Hi Steve (Lazy Bones) ; That Valterra valve you linked to at E-Trailer is actually the wrong valve. It comes with a 3" threaded MPT fitting on the back, meant to screw into the tank fitting. MPT is male pipe thread, tapered for plumbing. As far as I've seen, (I don't really look at many), there aren't any LD's that have a standard plumbing screw-in fitting. As Larry said, a rubber coupling with banded clamps at each end for LD.
I haven't looked at mine, and I have replaced the black water gate valve, but the part of the valve attached to my tank remains. I just undo the four screws and insert the new valve in place of the old one. Silicone lube grease on the new slider and O-rings. Don't tighten the screws too tight, or the blade part of the valve (the gate) won't slide easily.   I have separate valves about 5 feet apart, one for each tank on my old TK.  I did see a 2019 TK with a conjoined outlet and both gate valves together just last week.         RonB

Both valves are essentially the same, they are inline valves that bolt onto flanges on both sides. They are not for use at the termination of the dump line, not having the two or four lugs for the sewer hose to connect to.
I would use either valve.

Good to know and I stand corrected. It was late, I was on my way to bed and grasped out for what I thought might be "the one". More to the point, I wanted to illustrate that Amazon and Camco are not the only supply sources out there. I've found many things on e-trailer that were not available elsewhere.  ;)

Etrailer is a great site with a wide array of RV parts...if you can find the wanted part. Their cataloging leaves something to be desired.
I recently rebuilt a Roadmaster Sterling towbar, Etrailer had all the parts needed but it took a lot of searching to find then, with the various parts scattered on separate pages.  I do like like how much information they provide on parts, with many having descriptive videos. They also have great customer service and will contact manufacturers to find more technical questions.

While Etrailer stock parts that no one else does, somtimes their prices are much higher than other dealers. When recently adding a new Roadmaster baseplate to a Jeep, the baseplate was significantly less expensive on Amazon, it pays to check.
