Mice - YIKES
We were camp alongside a beautiful creek but we couldn’t get as level as we wanted.   The next campsite was more level and those folks said they were leaving the next morning.  And he would come over before pulling out of his no reservation site.   Wonderful!!

The next morning the other camper came over to say goodbye and causally mentioned they had trapped 3 mice inside their rig while in that campsite.  Not so wonderful.

Let’s see.  A level campsite with mice vs our un-level site.   A bit of a quandary.   The level campsite won out.

About 8:00 PM I laid down for just a few minutes to rest my eyes.  About 3 hours later a “scratchy” sound above my head woke me up.  MICE 🐁 I thought!!   Yikes.   I laid still for a minute or so and dead quiet.  Must have been a dream?   Maybe or hopefully a dream.  A few minutes later, more “scratchy sounds.”   That’s no dream.  MICE 🐭!

Turned on the lights and started looking everywhere.  I picked up my pillow and there it was ... my reading glasses had fallen off my head and when I moved or rolled, the glasses made a “scratchy“ sound.   Great Relief 😅.

And that’s our story about mice.

When we were camping in Idaho in our old itaska when we had a mouse infiltrate into our itaska and it would scratch at night in different places mostly keeping me up.  My son Sean was seven at the time and would not let us use a trap that would hurt the mouse.  Imagine trying to find a humane have a heart trap for mice in Idaho back 2005?  We found one and later that evening we caught the mouse and yes I did finally get a good nights sleep!
