where to start looking?
I have a 2008 MB, and am trying to figure out a couple of strange glitches.

1.  The backup camera used to start up when I put the RV in reverse, and now I need to power it on.

2.  The steering wheel is no longer adjustable.  At least I thought it used to be.  :-p

Any suggestions for troubleshooting these 2 things?

No ideas on the backup camera, but the steering wheel adjustment on my 2003 is a small lever on the left of the steering column. The manual states to pull the lever toward you and move the steering wheel to the desired position. (I'm pretty sure that your Ford manual describes the location and operation of the adjustment lever in your 2008....?)

Hi Holly;  About your reverse camera, do your reverse lights come on when you shift to reverse gear?  If it isn't too light outside you can usually see the lights illuminate the area around behind your rig in the mirror.    RonB

Holly, mine is an '08 MB too.  Joan is on target with the steering wheel adjustment.  The lever might be sticky, but should not require a great deal of force to move it.  If it does not move at all, that is a dealer matter.  Don't use tools, a pipe, or other aid to force it.

As to the backup camera, when you shift into reverse, a circuit that turns on your backup lights is activated.  I think, but am not certain, that your backup camera monitor is activated by that same circuit.  Try this - get someone to stand, not directly behind the rig, but behind and to the side.  Put the rig in reverse and have them check to see if the backup lights come on.  If they do, I am at a loss for further ideas.  If the lights do not come on, you may have a fuse that is bad (easy, cheap repair), a bad relay (harder to find and more expensive), a loose connection (hard to find) or some other issue.  Bear in mind that the backup camera might have its own fuse.  A call to the factory might be informative as to whether there is a fuse and if so, where it would be.
