Radio
I got a radio put in my LD  by a car radio company in a different town,  I found out they wired it wrong so that I have to run the engine to listen to the radio.  Where do I go to get this wired right? I would have thought a car radio Install company could figure it out.  I don’t  want to do it myself, unless it is a 5 min job and super easy.  I’m a working woman!  Thanks in advance.

So I just made a comment about accidentally leaving the power windows powered up, by leaving the key in 'accessory'. ('99 Ford). My cat put the window down and got out.  So maybe you can operate the radio by putting the key in 'accessory', not with the engine running.  I don't think the windows use any power until you press a button.
But really the radio should be running on the motorhome house battery. That is how the old radio worked. By running it off of the chassis battery you risk getting ready to leave, then finding that the engine won't start because the chassis battery is dead.  That battery isn't a deep cycle type, (possible damage) and you need the engine running to charge that and the house batteries.
Go back and tell them to 'get it right!'.  It might be an easy fix if you have experience doing car wiring. The 'hot'wire from the house batteries should be hanging around close by. Was the radio you had replaced the original? And it worked all the time, and ran off of the house batteries?  Any better car place should be able to do it correctly. Make it clear how you want the radio to operate.  If you have the yellow fuse under the hood, driver side, along with the CB radio fuse located there also, you should be able to take out that fuse and the radio would go off. That is, if it is wired right.    RonB

Thanks, I will go back, I don’t think they wired it to the house battery.
