New Kitchen Blinds August 02, 2020, 05:18:02 pm Today we installed new kitchen blinds that match the interior. These are cordless and replace older white blinds that had a few dings and didn’t always stay in the closed position. It was only difficult to install because I have so little flexibility in my neck ... like none. We ordered from SelectBlinds.com. The Yelp reviews are not favorable but it went smooth for us. I'd like to replace our factory aluminum blinds in our kitchen with vinyl cordless ones so they rattle less going down the road. I also need to buy a couple of replacement clips to hold them down in place at the bottom. I need to figure out what size and lenght I need to get. Did you order from select blinds because of the odd lenght and width or would Home Depot have something like this?

My understanding is aluminum blinds were installed because they are fire proof and won't fuel a kitchen fire; eg, a grease fire in a pan. I don't know how likely such a fire is, but we're sticking with aluminum in our Class C kitchen.

It's not metal like "the mothership" installs but I have a large wood cutting board on my stove top that I prop up by window when using the stove for a little extra security. I should mention that cordless blinds use different brackets than the factory originals. Hope this helps.
