Re: looking at 27 rk Reply #4 – November 24, 2020, 10:40:49 am The model-specific stuff (floor plan) is a matter of individual taste and preference. The general stuff (build quality, windows, insulation, etc.) are pretty much uniform for all models for a product year. Mine is an '08 MB, so much of my stuff will be relate-able to an '07. I have been fulltiming since Nov. '08 and my rig is in fine shape. I have needed service, repair and/or replacement of some appliances. My wood finish is showing some wear, but you need to look pretty carefully. Vince at the mothership checked my roof 2 years ago and told me my roof is fine for at least several more years, due probably to my avoiding the southwest in the summer with its higher temps and UV. My insulation is foam block and is sufficient for my needs, but I am not in Wyoming in the winter; instead I am hiding from the cold in southern New Mexico. My windows are the double paned windows. One of them, the small left side rear window, has a bit of fogging that can be seen when the sun is at the right angle, but otherwise is not noticeable. During very cold weather, you will want to have some sort of separation between the cab and the back. The cab is generally insulation-free.Bottom line, to me, is that the LD coach is a piece of high quality equipment. If the floor plan meets your needs, your next step, if you are thinking of buying, should be to get a professional inspection to look for any hidden issues.Ken F in NM 3 Likes

Search around and you will find info on average RV miles driven.Chris 1 Likes
Re: looking at 27 rk Reply #8 – November 28, 2020, 12:31:49 pm I have a 2005 RK, did not actually LOOK for that floor plan, but it was the right one available when I was ready to buy -- as it turns out, I love the layout. I am traveling with the dog, and it works great for me. Only issue with this coach is the fogged windows which are common in this time frame -- yours may be just enough younger to NOT have the thermopane windows.MJB 2 Likes
