Godzilla!?!? July 13, 2020, 10:39:42 am Hi - I’ve been watching Lazy Daze for years, and we are on the list for what will likely be a ‘22 (floor plan still tbd). We previously owned a small diesel pusher for a few years then sold it about a year ago for a variety of reasons, but quality was the biggest problem. I’m drawn to LD for their quality, and the recent upgrades to the Ford chassis make the LD all the more appealing. I’d love to hear some feedback from those of you that have the latest 2021 model year - power and fuel economy are tops on the list of questions. We made a few coast to coast trips in the DP (10mpg!) and that will continue so fuel economy is something we consider for the long distance trips. The LD will likely be our last RV, and we want to explore as far and wide as we can with it! Thanks in advance!

I may have misunderstood Todd, and it could be that they are in production and not delivered yet. I know he stated they had some of the new 2021’s already.

I am waiting to hear some feedback on the new chassis, as well. It would be nice to know some performance specs before committing to a new chassis. I assume the higher volume manufacturers are already starting to crank out motorhomes on the new chassis so that might be a source for initial performance info. 1 Likes
Re: Godzilla!?!? Reply #4 – July 13, 2020, 01:09:07 pm Hi Andy S.We are 'on the list' too. Thinking about a 27 foot MB. We were told that it would be 12 to 18 months. How about you?It is so frustrating not being able to visit the factory. But things will open up eventually so we can see what we are ordering! We are total newbies when it comes to RV's. Retired just in time for lock down!lwhitesideon the list 1 Likes
Re: Godzilla!?!? Reply #6 – July 13, 2020, 02:15:46 pm None of the V8s have been delivered yet. That it will have more power has been established but it will not be the same engine as the pickups or Class A, instead, it will be significantly detuned to a lower horsepower.ratingBTW, the short LDs are now 24', the 22' models were built on the Chevy G30 have not been available since 1998.Larry
Re: Godzilla!?!? Reply #7 – July 13, 2020, 05:16:05 pm Todd told us last Friday that our 2021 RB should be ready for pickup just after Labor Day (or possibly just before). The factory will be closed the week before and on Labor Day. We will take delivery in Ehrenberg, AZ without going to the factory on the TBA date. We will probably stay at a RV park there for a couple of nights to load up and organize our gear before heading back east. We first have to return a rental van to Phoenix after leaving Ehrenberg. Should be an interesting trip. After Phoenix we will have no schedule to meet on the return trip to Florida byway of "Who knows where." 1 Likes

That timing isn’t a showstopper for us if we can get what we want as retirement is still a few years off!
