Looking for Advice on price of Lazy Daze
I am shopping for a Lazy Daze currently, and I have found one that I'm interested in, but I feel like it may be overpriced. It is a 2010, 24, in very good shape, 70K miles, and the asking price is $50,000. I would love to get input form the members here. Thank you for your help.

Seem a bit high but it's the market that dictates the price. LDs are rare to begin with.
With a trailer brake control, I would want to know what was towed, how much it weighed, and for how many miles.
Towing wears the transmission faster than without.
Have it inspected first before laying down any cash.

Happy hunting

The main issues justifying the price could be seen as...

1.  supply and demand
2. waiting time for a new one
3. levelers are a $$ extra
4. assuming over all condition is above average
5. extras including new batteries

IMO, the asking price of the 2010 is $7-9k too high for the model and age. The owner may be pricing it on the high side because of perceived "value added" aftermarket items. (Candidly, I see items listed that I would not expect to see mentioned [or are not clear], e.g., "hot water heater", "electric convertor" (sic), "cold weather camper with insulation, heat tape", "electric trailer brake controller".... The ad does not mention a that this rig towed a vehicle, but maybe it towed a trailer of some sort?)

Additionally, despite the claim that the rig has been well-maintained, there is no way to know this or to suss out what repairs and/or replacements, e.g., tires, might be needed without a thorough inspection. If you are seriously interested in this rig, you might want to first find out if the asking price is negotiable; if so, you might want to arrange for a professional inspection of the coach, chassis, and all "mechanical" systems before making an offer.

Just my opinions; others may offer different suggestions and/or concerns.

$40,000- $45,000 depending on + and - below.

Are batteries AGM+ or flooded fill type-?  AGM much better value and costlier
Stored indoor + or outdoors-
Is solar original- or newer+
Has all required service been performed (fluids, oil, chassis...) + or not -
Are levelers original - or newer +
Tow a car or trailer - no tow +
Generator hours < 200 +. > 200 - (this is flexible)
Do you or others fit in single bed (74 inches) + don’t fit -
Roof been resealed +. Not resealed -
Refrigerator original - replaced +
Tires > 4 years old -, < 5 years old +

Just add up negatives and multiple total negative count by $500. Subtract negative $s from $45,000.  Although LD are desirable, the next couple months they may not be in the current pandemic.  Good luck.

Now someone please explain to her how to find someone that is qualified to inspect it.
I am under the opinion finding someone is next to impossible to do.

Links below are to potential sources of RV inspectors; additional "local" resources will come up with a search. One might also want to contact RV service centers and or truck service centers; they may have a tech and/or mechanic willing to do inspections. Mobile techs (RV parks usually have at least one or two in their brochures) may also be a source.

I suggest that the first "inspection step" is for a potential buyer to understand what is included in a thorough inspection of all parts of the rig, and to assist in vetting any inspection service; this checklist details what to look for, and a buyer needs to understand what's important:

RV Inspection Checklist

I'm sure that the quality of inspection services varies a lot; it might be time-consuming to vet the service and set up an appointment (and risk the rig getting away), and they're not cheap. However, the potential of buying a POS, particularly if the rig is older, can be substantial; if I were looking for a used LD, I'd research inspection services in advance of beginning my search, including possible lead times to set an appointment, and periodically check for any changes to the service parameters during that search.

In February of 2019, I used The Lemon Squad and was totally satisfied with their performance and report.  This was on the advice of a good friend who had used them for many years when he owned a business that bought and sold very high-end vehicles.

At that time, I paid $300. and thought that was a reasonable figure for the incredible amount of information and photos that I received.  I see that their prices are much reduced now, so maybe the virus has taken its toll on their business as well, and they, like many other businesses, are discounting in the hopes of attracting  at least enough customers to stay in business.

I don't see anything at their site that leads me to believe that they are not doing these inspections now, so, if desired, contacting them might prove useful.

There's nothing in the LazyDaze world like Kelly Blue Book value or NADA value or fair value.  We just don't have the sales data to say what average selling price for a particular model is.

Many of us like to look at the LD Asking Prices reference on this forum.  It's better than nothing I guess, but it's a very simple (9% annual depreciation) model built from sales data that have not been updated in years.

If you like the RV, make an offer at a number you're happy with.

I compare it to the vacation home market.  In most, there are a number of houses that are always for sale at a higher than average price.  They don't sell, which is a market signal that the price is too high.  However, there's no mechanism for a buyer to go to the seller and force/convince them to accept a lower price.  Many sit for years with a for sale sign.  Hope springs eternal.

Make an offer you feel is fair.  If the seller says no, just move on to the next one.  If you can't find a next one, maybe your perception of what is 'fair' will move up a bit.

Good luck with the search.  I know it can be frustrating.

Before I has someone inspect the LD I would either observe or get good pictures of roof.   If chalk seams are cracked roof was not redone and more than likely has had leaks.   Vince told me that roof good for 10 years before redo is needed.  If stored indoors that could be extended by a few more years.  If there are cracks on roof seals I would walk.  More than likely there are leaks around windows as well.  Wood frames do not mix well with water.
