Re: Kayaks at Costco... Reply #2 – April 21, 2020, 08:24:23 am Looks like a lot of bang for the buck. We have long and expensive kayaks with rudders that we purchased twenty years ago for kayak camping. Lots of storage space, they are fast and handle side winds well but lately I've been eying ones like in the OP. Much easier to get on and off the racks and to transport to water if it's any real distance and we don't kayak camp that much any more. My only question would be point of manufacturing. We are doing our best to not buy anything from China. 1 Likes

Doesn't handle sidewinds well. Pros: Sturdy. Extremely comfortable. Weighs less than six pounds. Fits in a small duffel bag, hence needs no racks. It's a very different experience, but quite an enjoyable one.(Did I mention that it only weighs six pounds? ;-) 2 Likes
Re: Kayaks at Costco... Reply #4 – April 22, 2020, 09:42:25 am We have inflatable kayaks that we bought many years ago to pack into mountain lakes. One of my best memories is paddling around on a lake in Glacier NP that we carried them into. Had the lake all to ourselves and it was great fun exploring the remote shorelines that were only accessible by boat. We have very rarely used them but that trip alone was worth the purchase price. 1 Likes
