Southern California Rainfall
Southern California Rainfall is sporadic from year to year.  As of 4am Friday, Serrano Campground at Big Bear Lake has received 15 inches of snow over the last 6 days. Our home in rural San Diego has received 3.4 inches of rain in the same period, more rain than we received in all of 2018. A few more wet years like this are still needed.

The plants are enjoying this.  Now, if we can just avoid a big earthquake while the ground is soggy...

Santa Barbara County is doing well this year - not quite as wet as last year, and certainly not in the top ten years on record.  But Cachuma, which is our primary water supply, has benefited greatly from the rains last year and this!

After shoveling the driveway cap yesterday, I was curious so went into the backyard to measure our snowfall. Pretty significant for this late in the season!

California needs every drop of rainfall and we need the snow even more!
Pretty unusual weather for Easter.  You two had better dye your Easter eggs bright colors so you can find them in the snow!
It has been raining all day here in San Diego.

Here in northern NV, we've had much fresh snow around the Lake Tahoe basin and hear that Mammoth was expecting a foot or more of fresh snow.    I'm sure June Lake has gotten some.   Convict Lake can be downright cold this time of year, so they may have been "dusted", too.    The snow level has hovered around 7.500 ft, though we woke to a dusting (4,800ft) the other morning.     What is hitting the San Diego area today will probably circle around and get us in a few days.     Yes, we need the water, so no complaints.    :-)
