Watching free live TV (cable channels) on your cellphone or device
Lazy Dazers,
I watched the youtube below and followed her advice to go to the website ustvgo.tv and have been watching cable TV channels live streaming on my iPhone off and on for over a month now. It's live TV so you can't fast forward or record. And, because it's streaming, it sometimes stalls because it's loading. So, when it comes back on you've missed some of the show.

But, anywhere I've had cell service it has worked allowing watching all the same channels free that we pay a pretty penny for at home with our Xfinity cable package, such as Bravo, Motortrend, Discovery, History, AMC, TCM, HBO, Showtime, ESPN, NFL Network, and so on. There's no login required to use the website. Anyone can watch and we can watch channels we don't even get at home (the ones that aren't included in our lineup). I've told a few friends about it and they've all been able to watch it the same way we have on different types of phones, too.

With an internet device like the Amazon Fire stick attached to the HDMI port of the Lazy Daze TV and an internet connection, you can watch it on the TV, too. I haven't tested this in our LD, but it did work fine at home on our TV.

So far, I've just been watching while camping (and anytime I'm waiting like in the doc's office) on my phone and it seems to work everywhere even when there's only 1 bar.  The only caveat is that the website has lots of popups and sneaky ads trying to get you to click on stuff you don't need to, like the text-only VPN ad right up top that tries to trick you because you might think it's related to the TV streaming you're trying to watch. Just ignore all that stuff and tap on the TV thumbnail and it'll play just fine. Hit the little mute X and expand arrow in the lower right corner of the thumbnail to fill your screen with the show rather than just watching it in the thumbnail view.

Here's the video explaining more - I don't know how or why it's possible to watch cable channels free online, but we sure like it and maybe you will, too:

It works!
How can this be legal?
I can't see using it while traveling unless one has unlimited streaming.
But for use at home, it has many channels I don't have or want to pay for. Good find...for as long as it last.

A good deal if and only if you have an unlimited data plan.  For someone like me, with a 20 GB/month plan, I laugh when someone tells me that these streaming services are "free".  I may not have to pay for that particular data to come to me. but every byte of data that I receive counts against my allotment.  So, for me, most definitely NOT free.

Looking at their website, it's evident that these are not native English speakers. "How much it costs?" "it may not works or not working very well...", etc. Heck, their Frequently Asked Questions page is labeled "FQA"! That's one of many red flags.

The service is clearly illegal, since they are providing copyrighted material for free. It appears that the site exists to promote NordVPN, a virtual private network that caters to people looking to download pirated material. NordVPN is based in Panama, which may be why the copyright holders of these channels have not (yet) been able to shut down this website.

I wouldn't expect this service to be safe to use. If you do use it, have a good malware-prevention program such as Malwarebytes, and run manual scans frequently.

Finally, as Ken points out, if you're using a cellular data plan, as many of us are, any streaming video will quickly rack up the gigabytes, and you may find yourself paying hefty overage charges before you know it.

Also, if you enjoy watch TV on your phone, the picture may be ok, but video quality is low resolution and pretty poor. On my home computer which can stream at 200mb/s some channels were rather jerky too, so they likely do not have the bandwidth access they need for such a service.
