cleaning water pump filter October 17, 2020, 03:34:52 pm Hello everyoneWe are wanting to clean the filter of our water pump. We have followed the directions in the manual... but cannot get the filter cup loose from the housing. It is really stuck! Any suggestions? We have tried our rubber, a large channel lock wrench, sprayed it with vinegar... even though no signs of corrosion.
Re: cleaning water pump filter Reply #1 – October 17, 2020, 05:47:56 pm It certainly shouldn’t be that tight. I’d first rotate the filter housing up as suggested in our LD manual. Then twist counter clockwise. It’s suppose to be snug but not anywhere near as tight as you described. Hope you can remove it.

On every exchange I have checked and have never seen the need to clean or replace the filter. You may wind up with a bit of egg on your face when all is over!
