Carbon monoxide alarm going off when driving September 20, 2019, 12:00:37 pm After 2 months at a park, I set off on a trip to a new destination. After about an hour of driving my carbon monoxide detector in the cab started going off. Thoughts? Is this just exhaust backing up into the car while I’m driving?

With the engine running, listen for the 'put-put' sound anywhere around the exhaust manifolds and following the exhaust system down-stream. Also check for broken manifold studs.Steve
Re: Carbon monoxide alarm going off when driving Reply #3 – September 20, 2019, 01:27:23 pm Thank you. No, the detector was not in the cab, it was in the coach. And I actually had it tucked away inside a cabinet on the floor as shown. Maybe that was why.

Re: Carbon monoxide alarm going off when driving Reply #6 – September 20, 2019, 09:28:48 pm If we jostle ours it goes off (less than 2 years old). If the date is good, try putting it where it will not get disturbed and see if that helps.JaneSent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone

Smokes are a bit longer, maybe 7-10, but it does depend on the individual unit.
