LED conversion of Thin Lite fluorescent light fixtures October 14, 2019, 12:34:17 pm This weekend, I converting the four fluorescent light fixtures in our M23 from fluorescent to LEDs. As part of the conversion process, I installed dimmer controls into the fixtures above the beds and above the dining table. I installed the dimmers in series with the existing switch. This lets the user continue to use the factory light switches and conveniently the dimmers ‘remember’ the brightness level from the last time the light level was adjusted. For those interested in doing your own conversion, here are the materials used:1) LEDs I used the same LED strip lights that I described in the following post. LED lighting modification for JENSEN Range Hood2) Dimmer ControlPCARV - Recreational Vehicle Products Division - 12v DC DimmerThe project turned out great. The resulting light is the same color as the previous fluorescents. With the dimmer turned all the way up, the new LEDs are noticeably brighter than the stock fluorescent lighting but draw less than half the electrical current of the previous fluorescent lights. It looks like we will use the lights with the dimmers adjusted between 25% and 75% of max lighting. This finishes the conversion of all our interior lighting over to LEDs. 7 Likes

Re: LED conversion of Thin Lite fluorescent light fixtures Reply #2 – October 14, 2019, 10:27:31 pm Thanks! This gives me the push to change out some of the fluorescents in my TK. I've installed LED's in the incandescent fixtures but never got to the Thin Lites in the lounge.
