Right side of heater dial mean off?
It’s hard to tell. Does turning the dial to the right mean that the heater is off?

Isn't this the switch underneath?

Switch lever underneath is left for off. Dial at top to set your desired temperature, clockwise to the right is higher temperature. To the left (lower numbers) is sort of off. If you leave the bottom switch on, then if it gets cold enogh the heater will come on. Quite a power drain and gas usage in wintertime, especially if it is in storage.  RonB

Hmmm, the previous owner marked on the wall switch to right for off and to left for on (on the bottom of the unit, not top). I can't seem to find any information online to confirm this.

Here’s another picture

Jacob, our 89 TK looks the same (see attached pics - darned I tried to reduce shadows - obviously didn't work but still can see well enough).
The lever on the top and bottom work independently.
Previous owner labeled ours (as you can see).
We have used it.
Bottom one goes to the left to turn on, right to turn off. And the top lever has to be set to warmer than it is inside the rig.
